I scotchbrited, cleaned, and then primed my aileron hinge brackets for the left wing. I clecoed and riveted the outboard hinge bracket, ensuring that the countersunk rivets were on the "outboard" side of the bracket...
The inboard bracket also needs countersunk rivets....on each side. I didn't make the same mistake as the right wing brackets.
I did club over one rivet on the outboard hinge bracket. When I drilled it out, I elongated the hole. I had a 5-7 rivet, drilled for size and then set that...no issues.
After they brackets were rivted, I gave it a quick shot of primer on the rivets. Make sure you use on offset rivet set here to prevent any damage to the brackets by the rivet gun.
